I'll start things off with an old favorite of mine: Suburban War by squeemonster. I'm particularly fond of this one because it's inspired by Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs" album, which was a big personal influence for me. But it's also just such a lovely story about growing up and growing alongside each other.

An author I just discovered recently is Alaisabel, and Shelter is definitely one of my favorites of theirs. Mind the tags, as both Dean and Cas' fathers are abusive here (off screen), but it's worth the pain to watch these two provide a safe space for each other over the years.
